Relationship Between Personality And Behavior

Relationship Between Personality And BehaviorThis essay will discuss the relationship between biological and personality traits in humans. Biologists and psychologists have considered personality traits to be a little different from one another, but the truth is they share some commonalities. They also don't completely agree on the kind of system that best explains personality traits. Most psychologists use the 'Big Five' personality traits. These are openness, conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, and neuroticism. All these traits are closely related, and many traits are correlated with each other.Biological characteristics are found in almost all parts of the body, though there are several more minor anatomical differences between humans and animals. Many traits that make up personality are similar to traits found in our brain.Personality is seen as something that develops over time in people. So, if we were born with a personality trait, then we will tend to manifest that trait as we grow up. However, some traits are naturally passed down from one generation to the next through genes, though it is believed that this trait is harder to change than traits that are passed down genetically.People with a greater number of personality traits tend to feel more satisfaction with their lives. Those with low numbers of personality traits feel somewhat more satisfaction. The relation between personality and how happy people are was noted by many centuries ago.One of the main questions scientists had been asking about personality was whether it affected the way a person behaves. Personality traits can affect various aspects of a person's behavior, including their reactions to stress and social situations. It was also observed that some of the characteristics of personality had a link to a person's lifespan. In order to better understand the link between personality and how a person behaves, scientists are turning their attention to the brain. There has been some evidence that personality traits are influenced by how well your brain works.
